What is the longest relationship you ever had? What makes a relationship last?
Mine is 5 months. I think the main thing that makes a relationship last is good communication.

My longest and last relationship was with a guy. DEFIANTLY not what I wanted! It lasted for 3 months...I couldn't take it anymore lying to everyone about my sexuality, so I cut off the strings.[/size]

Mine would be about a year with a guy, but I never saw him everyday. I met him online, he lives in another town, I found out online that he cheated on me. We met only a handful times. So I guess not really a real relationship.
With a girl, would be about 11 months, though the last couple of months was .. well I was starting to wanting to get out already then. Tried to work it through but it was hard as she was so much younger than me and she wanted a mother more than a girlfriend. That was also an online thing.

My longest relationship was with a guy >.< *shudders* (I can't even stand thinking about it.) I was 13 and he was 16... All he wanted was in my pants and he was a total stalker plus I hated lying to him about my sexuality so.... After 6 or 7 loooooong months I got the courage to kick him to the curb

I just ended my longest relationship not a couple of days ago. 1 year and 4 months with a girl who was absolutely wonderful. She was my soulmate, i was sure, and i have never been so besotted by anyone. I love her dearly still, and regret the fact that i have lost her. I think we lasted so long due to the sheer force of our love, which apparently only recently gave out on her end. Mine is still quite undying. We had excellent communication, and we spent enough time with each other to begin reaching the nonverbal communication stages. I am hoping we can reconcile our broken relationship though, because i have nothing but love for her.

Both of my relationships lasted 3 months, though one was on and off. This was with a girl i met online, and never actually met. I loved her dearly, and a part of me still does, but she cheated on me (which i forgave) and then left me for her best friend. The other was with a guy from college, who was far too clingy and obsessive for me. I am still dealing with the falllout from that even though it's been ten months since I 'broke his heart' as he keeps telling me. However, i think he is starting to move on. I hope

My longest relationship with a boy has lots of cracks in it! It's one of those on and off type deals. His name's Corey. I think we were together for 7 or 8 months at one point, but that was middle school. Since then it's been kind of a summer month kinda thing. I just don't get it... I used to be really good friends with Corey. But now it feels like I can't have a conversation with him. That's not at all what it seemed to be before. Now it just seems we can only have a good conversation if we're making out or something. God...I took his virginity this summer while he was broken up with his girlfriend. Went back with her and now all he wants to do is screw again. He even came to my house a couple weeks ago looking for sex while he's still with his girlfriend who won't give it to him because she's one of those independent girls that vowed not to have sex until they were married. Don't worry, I denied. I won't be part of an affair. So that's all screwy... Longest relationship with a girl was only a couple weeks and they bit the dust hard. One broke up with me by telling me that I had just been an experiment for her. This one relationship I had in school with my friend Idina, we peck-kissed a few times and that's it. I wouldn't say we were exactly girlfriends at all. Everyone in school was talking about it and spreading rumors. People always came up to me and told me that they heard I was seen making out with her. I'd respond: "Where was this? And why wasn't I there?" But even with relationships, I'm not exactly great at them. I've been alone so long so I guess I'm so used to it and feel trapped in serious relationships. I hope that passes at one point in my life. ...Haha, I just know that I am gonna end up some lonesome crotcheddy old lady who wears black combat boots. ;D [glow=red,2,300]Tawny[/glow]

I've known him for Three years less one week, our relationship will be two years this December. It's both our first serious relationship, other than a bad spot caused by my reaction to my grandmother's passing, things have been wonderful.

Oh my. Not very long at all. . . Actually, I'm not completely sure how long it was. About a month all together; It was an off and on relationship. We'd get together, I'd dump him because it didn't feel right {Now I know why.} We'd get together again. . . Ect. But, I don't really think of it as a month together, more like four weeks together with a short rest period at the end of each one? It was not a good relationship at all, and I was very confused about my sexuality at that time. I thought that I was totally straight, but at the same time I was getting wet for Michelle Pfeiffer as catwoman. Oh my.
