Life as a lesbian is hard. Many stereotypes are faced, names shouted out, and rumors spread. Women are vicious and lesbianism is no exception; The girls we date are bitches, cheating, liars. But they're the ones we love. But yet, we are proud of the life we live. We love who we are. We accept ourselves and strive for others to accept us as well. That said, it's not easy being us. That's why this site exists. To help others like us on the long road of lesbianism. Find your support here.

i am 14 and only out to my aunt who is also gay. when i was younger i knew i was different but didnt pay much attention to it. now i dont know if its just me being older or just the people around me, but things stick out so much. these past few weeks have been really tough. it seems like every other word out of everyones mouth is "gay". my family says it, friends and stranders. thats so gay, he's so gay, their so gay. its eating me up inside. if the next 4 years are going to be spent tensing at every little remark, then idk what imma do. perfect example, i was waiting in line with my friend for a ride and there was a older lesbian couple in front of us. i didnt say anything but my friend gave me one of those "lol look at that" kind of looks. well there was this group of kids next to us and one girl from the couple offered the something. the one gril from the other group willingly took it in acceptance, then threw it back at the lady, and walked away laughing. i got pissed but my friend laughed. i told her to "shut the fuck up" and she got all like eww wtf is your issue. i cant loose the few friends i have over being gay, even though i know thats who i am. any encouraging words?

I am having the exact same problems. I'd rather be black then gay, at least I wouldn't have to tell my mother... I don't remember who said that, but it was someone. Lol.
