Wow. I never thought I would see the day we reached 100 members, after all this board was just a simple project at first. Now it has grown in to a full community! I would like to take this opportunity to say hello to new members who I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, and to also say I am sorry for abandoning the baord for so long. Life took over but now that I have finished college and other 'work' related objectives I can finally sit back and relax. Once again, hello to the new followers and thanks for staying to old ones I love you all!

The new stuff looks awesome. Great to see this forum back up and running, and being active again. I missed it

To all LGBTForum Members, I'd like to share our story. I'm in a bi-national same-sex relationship and It has been really difficult for me and my partner to be together. She is currently here on a student visa and she's in her final year. This means that once she finished there is no guarantee if we will be together forever as i cannot sponsor her for green card and there is no assurance she can get an internship after graduation. The job market is not good right now especially for foreign students. There is no recognition yet for same-sex marriage and this makes our situation even worst. The same-sex marriage issue is still being debated and perhaps will never be resolved yet. For this reason, I have put up a small business online (fashion related) to gain extra income so we can sustain living together. My partner and I have travelled back and forth from one state to another to be able to find a cost-effective place so we can minimize our financial burdens. My partner has worked part time prior to moving but because of our economic downturn she wasn’t able to get a job in the state we're living now. She wasn't getting paid enough and with my income combined, it wasn’t enough for us to live in either state. It has been a rollercoaster ride for both of us and we're at the point now that we do not know what awaits us. We're living in limbo and it has been emotionally, physically, and mentally draining and frustrating. For this reason, we would like for you to take a time to visit the link to our campaign: www.indiegogo.com/fashiondiverse We will greatly appreciate any way you can do to support us, by sharing our story to your friends, colleagues, or families. We can only hope for the best and that the immigration may find solution not just for us but for many out there who are going through the same ordeal. We're trying our best to make it and to be together. Our fear is when the time comes we have to be apart and wait for one year, two years or even more until we find a common place, a perfect place for us to be together. Thank you in advance for taking the time and for sharing our story.
